Do you still remember the last project we did on epoxy resin, which we have failed miserably? The epoxy resin was still sticking to its timber moulding, and we have to forcefully trim all edges with a mitre saw. One of our audience suggested to use wax as the isolation membrane, and we follow his advice. Check this out!

It has becoming a trend to use epoxy resin in modern wood working. Epoxy resin or resin is a two-component material which cures within a few hours of the components being mixed together then can be cut, grinded, and polished. The water clear epoxy resin can also easily be coloured, such as from its transparent colors to metallic effects to opaque liquid colors. And, of course the results are fantastic!

"Epoxy resins are a family of monomelic or oligomeric material that can be further reacted to form thermoset polymers possessing a high degree of chemical and solvent resistance, outstanding adhesion to a broad range of substrates, a low order of shrinkage on cure, impact resistance, flexibility, and good electrical properties."
